A MASS Sunnat Gerhana Bulan prayer, led by Pehin Khatib Haji Suhaili bin Haji Metali Al-Hafiz, was held at the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in conjunction with last night’s lunar eclipse. According to the sermon, when an eclipse occurs Muslims should immediately repent of his sins and avoid doing wrongful and sinful things and worshipping things that contradicts the teachings of Islam. Among those present were Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, the Minister of Religious Affairs; permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA); deputy permanent secretary at the MoRA; directors; senior officers and staff at the ministry as well as the residents living nearby. - COURTESY OF MORA
