Brunei Darussalam will observe the first day of Ramadhan on Thursday, 1st Ramadhan 1447 Hijrah, corresponding to February 19, 2026.
The announcement was broadcast on Radio Television Brunei (RTB) this evening following the failure to sight the hilal (crescent) at vantage points set up across the country.

As Muslims in the country begin fasting on Thursday, Sunnat Terawih prayers, Sunnat Witir and Tedarus Al-Quran will begin Wednesday evening.
